INDIANAPOLIS – Recognizing the increasing impact of wildfire smoke on indoor environments, Carrier has introduced a strategic program designed to safeguard homes and commercial properties. The initiative focuses on protecting occupants from harmful airborne particles associated with wildfire events, which can aggravate respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
Carrier recommends proactive measures, including upgrading to high-efficiency air filters, sealing building envelopes to reduce smoke infiltration, and deploying HEPA-equipped portable purification units.
“Indoor air safety is a critical component of public health,” said Nick Arch, Vice President of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “Our advanced technologies provide the protection families and businesses need during these challenging conditions.”
Demonstrating its commitment to community support, Carrier has donated $2.5 million worth of air purifiers to schools and frontline workers in Los Angeles.
